Chiquititas Brasil is a Brazilian adaptation of the Argentine telenovela Chiquititas. The show premiered in 1997 on the SBT network and aired for six seasons until 2001. It was produced and directed by Reynaldo Boury, with a script by Iris Abravanel.
The show follows the lives of a group of children who live in an orphanage called "Raio de Luz" (Ray of Light) and their struggles to overcome obstacles and find happiness. The main character, Mili, is a sweet and compassionate girl who becomes the leader of the group and forms strong bonds with her friends.
Chiquititas Brasil became very popular in Brazil and was a huge success with children and families. The show was known for its catchy songs and colorful sets, as well as its positive messages about love, friendship, and family.
In 2013, a reboot of the show was made, also on the SBT network. This version was equally successful and ran for five seasons until 2015.
